2016: A Year in Review - Resolutions

It's hard to believe, but 2016 is coming to a close this week. While some are relaxing and anticipating the changes of the new year, others need more than a long weekend to recover from the holidays. When you add in the stress of wrapping up year-long projects, the new year seems more like a deadline than a holiday.

In spite of the stress, the team here at Kris Bowen Real Estate has come to a conclusion: 2017 is going to be a fantastic year for all - including homebuyers and sellers!

2016 was a year marked by change in everything from the new iPhone to the recent Brexit. We've broken it down into three categories for your review:

1. Technology
Space X and their reusable rockets, Tesla and the autonomous electric power machine, The rise of personal Artificial Intelligence (AI) in our everyday lives, Virtual Reality (VR) headsets, and much more.

2. Political Madness
Russia jumps back into the economic game, North Korea attempts a missile launch (again), ISIS is simultaneously shrinking and wreaking havoc, and Trump wins the presidential election in the U.S.

3. Entertainment
The Presidential debates, The Chicago Cubs won the World Series, and an abundance of new movies and TV shows. Also, many celebrities died.

All in all, Kris Bowen Real Estate has made some great progress in our line of business, and we've achieved great milestones this year. We are also making our own team resolutions for 2017. Here are some ideas to keep you on top of your own resolution game:

1. Setting Goals
It's said that goals greatly impact the way you think, the way you act, and how productive you are. If you have a smartphone, there are plenty of coaching apps that will help to motivate you. Go find them!

2. Learn something new
If you spent half an hour every day practicing the piano, how long do you think it would take for you to become proficient? You can become good at almost anything if you commit to it. After a while, you'll really surprise yourself.

3. Create good habits
They say it takes 30 days to form a habit and 90 days to develop a lifestyle. If you want to do something life-changing, start by making one small change every day, and plan on sticking to it for at least a month.

We hope this article reaches you well. Have a safe and fun New Year!

Happy New Year!
