Become a Farmer…
When: May.16, 2015
Where:The Wheeler Historic Farm, 6351 South 9000 East, Salt Lake City, UT
What: The Wheeler Farm Fest & Market allows you to glimpse at what life on a farm is like. Admission is free and there will be a black smith demonstration, a number of vendors and you can even watch a sheep get a haircut!
Get a Little Dirty…
When: May.23, 2015.
Where: Utah State Fairgrounds, 155 N 1000 W, Salt Lake City, UT
What: The Color Me Rad 5K race is more than your standard 5K charity run and make sure don't wear that expensive running gear. Volunteers are set up at specific points throughout the race with a rainbow of colored liquids and powders ready to be thrown at participants. Plus, a special surprise awaits you at the finish line.
See a Shakespeare Play…
When: May. 15 – 18, 2015.
Where: Sandy City Amphitheater, 1245 E 9400 S, Sandy, UT.
What: A Mid Summer's Night Dream is among the Bard's more well-known plays. The production is currently being put on by the Mountain West Ballet of Sandy. Come out and experience this unique outdoor venue!
Feed a Penguin…
When: May. 16, 2015
Where: Loveland Living Planet Aquarium, 12033 South Lone Peak Parkway, Draper, UT.
What: Meet the Aquarium's 11 penguins up close. Between Thursday and Tuesday each week, visitors have the opportunity to take part in the unique Penguin Encounters Exhibit. Start at the front of the exhibit and get an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at Aquarium life.
See a Rock Concert…
When: May. 19, 2015.
Where: EnergySolutions Arena, 301 W South Temple, Salt Lake City, UT.
What: See Ed Sheeran, the modern-day pop star live in concert! Sheeran's eclectic mix of acoustic pop, folk and hip hop with a bit of beat box thrown in for good measure is infectious. This could be the hot ticket item of the season in Salt Lake City!
Catch a Soccer Game…
When: May. 16, 2015.
Where: The Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy.
What: Catch the local Real Monarchs SLC take on the Portland Timbers in exciting United Soccer League Action. Nothing quite meets the excitement of seeing the fierce competition of this minor soccer league division, especially amid the roaring crowds of the expansive Rio Tinto Stadium!
Watch a Classic Flick…
When: Mondays and Fridays in May.
Where: Orem Public Library, 58 N State St, Orem, UT.
What: The Adapt that Novel showcase allows you to witness your favorite novels in live action on the big screen. The bi-weekly event will be showcasing film adaptations of many literary classics such as Great Expectations, The Notebook, Age of Innocence and the Remains of the Day.
